TRAINING COURSES

TRAINING COURSES

Among the various phases necessary for the delivery of a fire-fighting system, training is of particular importance; provided thanks to the training courses previously continued by the personnel assigned to the management of the same; during the course of the year they are constantly updated on fire safety regulations. Over the years, SV Sistemi di Sicurezza has developed considerable experience thanks to training courses; also thanks to the training of the personnel who must intervene in a fire situation controlled by a safety system to maximize its effectiveness.

  • Make sure that flammable materials are isolated and segregated in suitably ventilated areas;
  • Ensure the order and cleanliness of the workplace;
  • Do not expose combustible gas cylinders to heat sources;
  • Avoid the use of open flames and do not smoke near combustible substances;
  • Promptly stop leaks of flammable substances and eliminate any spillage;
  • Carry out “hot work” only with prior authorization and taking the necessary precautions;
  • Supervise the operation of electrical systems and the integrity of electrical cables;
  • Use electrical equipment with care without overloading the sockets, paying attention to false contacts; eliminating power strips, multiple sockets and flying cables and removing the plug from the socket whenever there is a doubt about the perfect functioning of the equipment;
  • Do not empty the ashtrays in the paper baskets;
  • Check and watch over the motors overheating; transformers or other electrical equipment; also checking that their ventilation is not hindered or obstructed (eg avoiding placing cloths or objects on the motors).
  • General view of the EXFIRE control unit and notions of the input-output boards;
  • Basic quick operations for EXFIRE control panel;
  • quick reset procedure ;
  • Quick procedure for displaying events / alarms;
  • Quick procedure of inclusion exclusion;
  • Notions on the control panel in case of switching off and switching on of the same;
  • Replacement of a faulty board;
  • General notions on communication between EXFIRE control panel and Enterprise graphic software;
  • Explanations on the architecture of the Enterprise software;
  • Enter login user and password logout;
  • Procedure for excluding and including signals and other common system management operations via software;
  • Event log display procedure

This seminar aims to provide a general overview of the two main design standards for fire detection and signaling systems: NFPA 72 (National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code) and NFPA 170 (Standard for Fire Safety and Emergency Symbols).
NFPA 72

  • Fundamentals (chapter 10)
  • Circuits & pathways (chapter 12)
  • Inspection, testing & maintenance (chapter 14)
  • Initiating devices & notification appliances (chapter 17, 18)
  • Protected premises fire alarm systems (chapter 23)
    NFPA 170
  • Symbols for use in architectural and engineering drawings and insur ance di

This course aims to provide detailed elements for the design of a fire alarm system. It is divided into two days (12 hours in total) and consists of an in-depth investigation of the various sections of the NFPA 72 standard and of the elements that can be borrowed from the NFPA 70 electrical standard for fire detection applications. The topics covered are listed below:
NFPA 72

  • Fundamentals (chapter 10)
  • Circuits & pathways (chapter 12)
  • Inspection, testing & maintenance (chapter 14)
  • Initiating devices & notification appliances (chapter 17, 18)
  • Emergency control functions and interfaces (chapter 21)
  • Protected premises fire alarm systems (chapter 23)
  • Emergency communication systems (chapter 24)
  • Supervising station alarm systems (chapter 26)
  • NFPA 170
  • Symbols for use in architectural and engineering drawings and insurance diagrams

Below are other power stations and control bodies on which we have carried out operational courses:
