This section introduces the implementations that will run on both the central EXFIRE360 that its compact version to meet the requirements of paragraphs 4.29 (release of extinguishing agents to discharge selected areas) and 4:30 (activation of alarm devices with different signals) legislation EN12094-1.
Compared to the EX6EV-C board currently certified for switching off, SV intends to propose a new configuration in which the role of the individual channels of the input / output is not defined a priori, and in which the logics are performed directly from EXCPU360.
To explain the operation of this new configuration refer to the diagram of a detection and extinguishing system of the two areas shown in the following figure:
The boards used to manage this system will be EX6EV 2, 2 and 2 EX6SO EX8SI (or a EXLOOP-E in addition to the only part of detection).
A detailed analysis of the individual signals, it is possible to notice that:
The detection is performed by acquiring at least two signals of conventional type for the area (or tab EX8SI EX6EV) or by type devices addressable (card EXLOOP-E). The logic activation of the solenoids will be defined in the program control unit configuration (SV Protection);
The discharge buttons will be acquired under a conventional input (EX8SI or EX6EV). The configuration program of the plant will be modified so that for each input channel can be defined as a specific feature (eg. Manual release, abort button, etc);
The same principle will be used also for all other inputs (buttons interruption and prolongation emergency mode selector switches automatic / manual selector main / reserve, pressure switches for high and low pressure, general signs of supervision of the system);
With regard to the outputs, the board will remain EX6EV, the responsible board for the control of the solenoids of the area (directional valves) and it can also activate the optical / acoustic warning pre-discharge and discharge devices (4.30). The functionality of each output will be defined in the program control unit configuration. An EX6EV board will be provided for each discharge zone;
EX6SO boards will deal instead of the command to the solenoids of the benches of cylinders main / reserve common to both extinguishing systems, and the implementation of any additional alarm devices. The function of each output will be defined through SV Protection;
To meet the requirement of the regulatin according to which a generic failure should not affect more than one zone of discharge, the commands to the common solenoids will be redundant (in the example above you will then need 8 outputs in total, for this we will use 2 EX6SO );
Control of auxiliary devices such as block ventilation, shutters closure, etc. will be carried out through the outputs of unsupervised EX6EV board and the logic of intervention will be freely programmable by the user through SV Protection;
Checking the status of the system and the logic of activation will be executed through the control unit EXCPU360, according to the functionality defined in the configuration program;
For example, the inhibition of the discharge in the presence of a fault on a device of the emergency extension will be determined by evaluating the status of all devices configured as holdable in Protection. In this way, it is also possible to set multiple lines of input or output with the same functionality;
The reports about the state of the discharge zone (enabled / release / fault / etc.) Will appear on the display board MODLCD EX6EV relative;
The menus in the same display will also be possible to change the settings (delayed discharge / inhibition time restore / etc.) Of each extinguishing zone and to disable (at access level 3) the charge itself.
The above example is related to a “complete”configuration. With the same kind of logic it will be possible to manage less complex plants (for example a single area with a high pressure ressure switch, a discharge button and a single solenoid to pilot).
Opposite to certified configuration previously explained locked on the use of board and a EX8SI EX6EV adjacent, the new approach will cover the plant and regulatory requirements with a single board (EX6EV) to be expanded with additional input boards (EX8SI or EXLOOP-E) or output (or EX6EV EX6SO) depending on the characteristics of the system.
